2020 Herbal Intensive

2018-2019 Teaching Schedule

Learning  Handouts

I believe basic autonomous self-care to be a human right.  Because of this I try to provide inexpensive information about  entry level herbal self-care through classes in my community, in my newsletter and on my blog.

Sometimes individuals feel called to pursue the deeper study of plants necessary for working as a practitioner.

While I don't believe that everyone needs to go to college to learn these skills like I did, I do believe that the responsible practitioner should have completed a program that involves instruction by an experienced teacher, evaluation and hands-on supervised practice working with clients.

If you don't live in my area check with me as I have colleagues running programs like this all over the country

For locals, I offer a yearly intensive program. This program is not for hobbyists.  It is challenging and you will be tested on your knowledge, but at the end of it you will be competent to begin working with clients. You will also work with clients in a supervised setting before completion of the course.
In addition, you will have learned good manufacturing processes to help you comply with regulations if you choose to pursue selling preparations as part of your path.

I am offering as much of the classwork through interactive on-line options as I can.  We will only be  meeting one day per month for what I consider necessary hands on practice of some skills.

Due to previous experience holding spots for people who back out,  I will be requiring a $150 deposit to hold your spot, in order to limit responses to serious inquiries.

A successful interviewee will have some previous training in the biological sciences or herbal therapeutics.  I suggest that beginners start with one of my herbal wellness or you won't be able to keep up.

Herbal Intensive Kick-Off

(As always, this is tentative.  I have to have enough people interested to make it worthwhile. Right now it's not looking promising.)

Herbalists neither diagnose nor directly treat disease. An herbal educator's primary role is that of providing information and assisting clients in devising their own goals and regimen to support their health and well-being. I believe constitutionally appropriate lifestyle choices and individually formulated herbal preparations support your body's efforts to maintain a healthy state. The information on this website is provided as educational material to help guide you on how to make choices which support your body’s innate healing capacity.
